The Haneda Turtle Service was established in 1978 and supported by the kindness of our partner companies, and we were able to celebrate 40 years of our founding in 2018. Please take a look at our history.

1970s

March of 1978Common
Founder Akio Uchiumi (currently our Corporate Advisor) establishes Haneda Turtle Service Co., Ltd.
May of 1978Airport
Commences airport service operations at Tokyo International Airport (HND).
December of 1978Distribution
Opens the head office branch (currently Tokyo branch) at Tokyo Ryutsu Center.

1980s

September of 1983Common
Receives security business approval (No. 725) from the Tokyo Metropolitan Public Safety Commission.
December of 1984Distribution
Starts distribution service operations in Ota Ward, Tokyo.
November of 1986Distribution
Commences forwarder warehouse operations in Koto Ward, Tokyo.
April of 1989Airport
Begins handling air cargo (domestic and international).
June of 1989Common
Establishes Ueno branch office (currently Koto branch) in Taito Ward, Tokyo.

1990s

November of 1991Common
Obtains general worker dispatch business permit.
May of 1992Distribution
Opens Osaka headquarters branch office (currently Osaka branch) in Fukushima Ward, Osaka.
July of 1992Airport
Establishes Narita International Airport (NRT) branch office.
July of 1994Airport
Starts airport service business at Kansai International Airport (KIX).
April of 1995Airport
Accepts Category 3 intra-airport business notification at Tokyo International Airport (HND).

Opens Tohoku branch office (currently Sendai branch) in Sendai City, Miyagi.

Opens Fukushima branch office in Idate County, Fukushima.

Opens Atsugi branch office (currently Shonan Atsugi branch) in Atsugi City, Kanagawa.

Obtained approval for paid employment placement business.
April of 1999Distribution
Opens Tachikawa branch office in Tachikawa City, Tokyo.

Opens Chubu branch office (currently Nagoya branch) in Nagoya City, Aichi.

2000s

April of 2000Distribution
Opens Yokohama branch office (currently Yokohama branch) in Yokohama City, Kanagawa.

Acquires Category 2 intra-airport business rights at Tokyo International Airport (HND).
April of 2001Airport
Establishes Airport Headquarters.

Opens Machida branch office in Machida City, Tokyo.
May of 2005Distribution
Receives A-rank evaluation for packaging contractor safety management system from Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.

Obtains operating approval at Narita International Airport (NRT).

Receives approval for Comprehensive Pass in Narita Branch Customs.

Celebrates 30th anniversary Completes new head office building (with dormitory).
September of 2009Distribution
Opens Saitama branch office (currently Saitama branch) in Koshigaya City, Saitama.

Opens Chiba branch office (currently Chiba branch) in Funabashi City, Chiba.
December of 2009Airport
HTS Group (Haneda Turtle Service Co., Ltd., Ishino Koyu Co., Ltd.) is selected as the operator of the fueling facility for GSE vehicles in the international area of Tokyo International Airport (HND).

2010s

February of 2010Airport
Obtains permission for the Hundred-mile branch office (currently Ibaraki Airport branch) and bonded storage.
March of 2010Airport
Opens Hyakuri Airport branch office (currently Ibaraki Airport [IBR] branch); obtains intra-airport operating approval.
May of 2010Airport
Acquires Category 1 intra-airport operating approval at Tokyo International Airport.
August of 2010Distribution
Relocates Ueno branch office to Tomioka, Koto Ward, Tokyo, and changes the name to Koto branch.
September of 2010Airport
Starts operating the fueling facility for GSE vehicles in the international area of Tokyo International Airport (HND).
April of 2011Airport
Obtains Category 2 intra-airport operating approval at Fukuoka Airport (FUK).
April of 2011Distribution
Opens Kitakyushu branch office in Kandamachi, Kyoto-gun, Fukuoka.

Obtains operating approval at Kansai International Airport (KIX).
October of 2011Airport
Obtains Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) SAR145.

Opens Kansai International Airport (KIX) branch office.

Moves the head office to 5-3-1 Haneda, Ota Ward, Tokyo.

Opens Hashimoto branch office in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa.

Founder Akio Uchiumi (currently our Corporate Advisor) receives the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Award, the first-ever award for the "Flight Support Business."
April of 2018Common
Holds the 40th-anniversary celebration, "Kansha no Tsudoi” (meaning “Gathering of Thanks”), at Meguro Gajoen with 450 participants.

Opens Kyushu branch office (currently Fukuoka branch).

2020s

Opens Saitama branch office (Tokorozawa City) and Kashiwa branch office (Kashiwa City, Chiba).
April of 2021Common
Entrusted with COVID-19 prevention quarantine facility operation support by the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare.
April of 2022Common
Entrusted with impeachment court security business by the House of Councilors.
April of 2023Common
Entrusted with domestic security inspection business at Tokyo International Airport (HND).

In the future, Haneda Turtle Service will continue to walk steadily one step at a later stage.
